iCAP LEP™ simplifies login and password data entries
Based on Liberty standards, iCAP LEP™ allows
users to be authenticated once
time (Single Sign-On) on any Website compatible with Liberty
specifications.
Single Sign-On solves password management
problems by
eliminating the need for users to remember theirs usernames and
passwords except for the first authentication session.
Security improvement
Only authentication exchanges are done in core of
network between Identity Providers and Service Providers (Circle
of Trust).
With exchanges limited to the Circle of Trust, iCAP LEP™ improves security and reduces attack attempts.
Compliant with the Liberty protocols
In agreement with Liberty ID-FF 1.1 and 1.2 specifications, iCAP LEP™ standardizes and simplifies identity interchanges between Identity Providers and Service Providers.
A smooth integration in core of network
iCAP LEP™
can be integrated easily into any existing architecture. ELIOS solution
consists in a high performance software, offering scalability and high
availability features. With no modification in the architecture's
structure, iCAP LEP™ can be added close to WAP gateways or
proxy/caches.
Ease of use for end-users
No installation is required on end-user devices. iCAP LEP™ enables more transparency for any browser embedded in mobile phones, PDA or computers.
Based on the iCAP technology
iCAP LEP™ enhances HTTP proxy or WAP gateway to support Liberty Single Sign-on and authentication features.
ICAP is a
lightweight and extensible point-to-point protocol (Anti-virus, WEB compression, contents filtering, anti-spam) that effectively
permits content adaptation to user needs.

Benefits for the iCAP technology
The
Internet Content Adaptation Protocol (ICAP) enables enterprises to
choose the best of applications and infrastructure. ICAP admits a new
class of services by allowing site owners to offer Web applications
closer to the user. ICAP is a protocol that adapts content for user
needs. The ICAP Forum consists of a group of vendors with a common
desire to enable communication between edge devices and network-based
applications. ICAP promotes multiple applications in core of network,
transparency for end-users.
The principal benefits of ICAP include:
It is scalable: allowing several ICAP servers to service requests & responses from a single cache.
It is open: anyone can implement, which extends a caching server to
provide new services at the edge of the network.
It is more efficient than adding one Web proxy per service.
